Another reason to visit Seoul, Korea

Recently, I have been receiving a lot of feedback and questions about Dr. Kim and his Cosmetic Eye-Whitening™ procedure. Can I afford a trip to Korea AND the surgery? How long will I need to stay there? Do I need to know Korean??! Here are some things you need to know…
While it is easy to see why most people would feel trepidation at the thought of taking a trip to South Korea for surgery (and there is a big difference between North Korea and South Korea, for those who are wondering – I have been asked where Seoul is), I think most would be surprised at how ‘doable’ it actually is. For one, modern-day Korea and Koreans recognize the importance of being foreigner-friendly and have made many strides toward that end. Subways and buses have English signage as do restaurants, shops and cafes. Taxi cabs offer English translation services and a 15 minute trip will often cost less than three-blocks in New York City. The Seoul subway system is so extensive (and easy to navigate) that a quick train ride is faster and easier. Do you need to know a little Korean? Of course, it would be easier but I have many friends that have lived there for years and know little more than ‘Hi, how are you?’ Not exaggerating. Koreans border on obsessive when it comes to learning the English language. As I said, they know the importance of being in a global market.
All that aside, Dr. Bong-Hyun Kim is the developer of the procedure and is highly experienced in the different cases and outcomes of this surgery. In his 14 years, he has probably come across a case just like yours and will determine eligibility via photographs, medical history and questions. Dr. Kim will err on the side of caution to protect his patients.
Ideally, patients are told to stay for two weeks. However, follow-up care can be administered remotely if need be. The procedure is surprisingly affordable – even when you include airfare, accomodation and food for two weeks. A procedure like this and a few days in a hotel in the U.S. can easily cost you much more.
